The all-electric 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning looks more attractive than the standard variant. Generally speaking, it shares much of its sheet metal with gasoline-powered F-150. This model is easily distinguished by its unique front fascia that comes with a new dark false grille and inverted LED lights that connect the headlights.

The overall design is futuristic, and the new Ford F-150 Lightning looks like nothing else on the road. A red inverted U on the tailgate completes this attractive design. Considering that this is an electric variant, the battery is placed under the floor. According to Ford, buyers will be able to charge this truck at home via 110- and 220-volt outlets or with public DC fast-charging stations.

First Look Inside

On the inside, the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is much the same as the gasoline-powered F-150. Moreover, it offers a very roomy cabin that can place five occupants comfortably. Of course, the Lightning model has a few key differences compared to the base model.

It features a new 15.5-inch touchscreen in the portrait position that’s standard on Lariat and Platinum trims and also available on lower-priced models. On top of that, a 12-inch digital cluster is a highlight, and it replaces traditional gauges.
