The 2024 RAM 1500 EV will hit markets next year, and it will be the first Ram pickup truck to be powered by electricity. According to RAM, the forthcoming truck will be made on a new conventional body-on-frame construction using a standard all-wheel drive.
They also reveal that the truck will have a driving range of up to 500 miles and the ability to tow more than 10,000 pounds. Other preliminary promises are fast-changing support as well as autonomous driving capabilities. While the electrified Ram 1500 comes out, we expect it to be an answer to models such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, and presumably the Chevy Silverado EV.

2024 RAM 1500 EV Design
Finally, we have some teased images of the new 2024 RAM 1500 EV, and we must admit that it really looks futuristic. In general, we like every inch of this truck that dominates at the front. As we noticed, the forthcoming model will come with an illuminated ‘RAM’ logo sitting within a decorative panel in place of a traditional grille.
Along, there is a twin bar DRLs LED headlamps that are very eye-catchy. We also noted a contrasting hourglass graphic to the lower bumper, which is painted in body color. As in the front of the new RAM 1500 EV, the rear is equally futuristic. It features a full-width LED taillamps and illuminated RAM lettering in red.
Interior Rumors
At the moment, we don’t know what the interior of the 2024 RAM 1500 EV will look like. Many believe that the cabin will be opposite to what we saw on the original RAM 1500. Anyway, buyers can expect a very roomy and comfortable interior with enough place for up to five occupants.
We must note that the current RAM 1500 is one of the best trucks in class. So, the EV model will probably be even better. So, we expect this model to come with a larger infotainment system, supporting all phone connectivity and other features.
2024 RAM 1500 EV Motor Specs
While we don’t know any details regarding the specs of the 2024 RAM 1500 EV, the manufacturer has said that the truck will have a driving range of up to 500 miles. Compared to all-electric rivals in the same class, that’s 200 miles longer than the longest-range Ford F-150 Lightning.
Interestingly, with a DC fast charger, the Ram 1500 EV will be able to charge at a rate of up to 150 kWh, which is pretty good. Ram didn’t divulge 1500 EV’s maximum tow rating, but we can expect it to exceed 10,000 pounds. Currently, the F-150 Lightning has a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds.

2024 RAM 1500 EV Price, Release Date
Unfortunately, Ram hasn’t said how much the 1500 EV will cost. We also don’t know what trim levels will be available, or what equipment will be standard or optional.
However, considering that its main rival is the F-150 Lightning, and that starts at around $42k, we’d wager that the electric Ram 1500 should not cross the $45,000 mark for the base model. From information that’s currently available, we can expect the new truck to go on sale sometime next year as the 2024 model.
