The 2024 GMC Sierra EV will reportedly be the second model in the manufacturer’s lineup that will be all-electric. From what we’ve been told, the Sierra EV will likely share many components with the upcoming Chevrolet Silverado EV. Anyway, it will probably be differentiated from the mentioned model in terms of styling inside and out.
It will also be a full-size pickup truck that should be cheaper and more work-focused than the expensive, but more off-road-capable Hummer. Thanks to many changes over the previous generation, the new truck will compete with the Ford F-150 Lightning. So, without further ado, read below for more information about the upcoming all-electric truck.

2024 GMC Sierra EV First Look
GMC will launch the new Sierra EV in order to compete with the Ford F-150 Lightning and off-road-capable Hummer. Judging by the renderings, the new pickup looks completely different than the regular version. It has a more dominated front end, which includes a closed grille, a new headlight, and a sportier hood. We also noticed a new pair of fog lights that look similar to headlights.
The rear is no less attractive, and we like the new taillights. Overall, it’s likely to be differentiated from the Chevy Silverado in terms of styling.
In-Truck Technologies
At the moment, we don’t know what GMC is cooking in terms of styling inside. From the information that’s available, we can expect a very spacious cabin, which should be filled with the latest technology. More specifically, the new pickup truck could borrow the same infotainment from the upcoming Silverado EV.
This means we can expect a mostly digital dashboard, with an 11.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and probably the same 8.0-inch digital gauge display. However, we don’t know if upper trims will unlock an even larger 17.0-inch infotainment screen and an 11.0-inch gauge display, just as in the case with the Silverado RST. Anyway, you can expect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to be standard, with in-dash navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.

2024 GMC Sierra EV Motor Specs
Just like the upcoming Hummer EV and Silverado EV models, the new 2024 GMC Sierra EV will be equipped with the latest GM’s Ultium battery packs. This means a rear-wheel-drive one-motor setup is likely to be standard, while all-wheel drive is optional using a two-motor setup. The GMC Sierra EV could also be powered by an even more powerful three-motor setup like the GMC Hummer on upper trims.
Unfortunately, there is no word yet on the Ultium battery’s capacity. Anyway, we think GMC will offer various sizes of batteries. Basically, we’re expecting a smaller battery to provide more than 200 miles on a charge, while the most powerful may approach a 400-mile range. The fast-charging capability will likely be supported.
