The new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD has been spied testing, featuring a more attractive design hidden under the cover. The current-generation Chevrolet Silverado HD received a modest facelift, and we can expect the same from the new one.
As far as we can see, the forthcoming prototype has been spied hooked to trailers hauling. It’s certainly stronger than its predecessor and depending on the specification, a double-cab dually 3500 Silverado HD can weigh well over 7,000 pounds. We don’t know exactly what’s going on under the hood, but updated styling could hide a boosted Duramax diesel engine with 1,000 pound-feet of torque.

The exterior of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD is robust and way more stylish than before. At first glance, the spied Silverado HD looks wider and larger, but we got information that is proportionally the same as the current model. Anyway, we noticed some design upgrades despite its heavy coverings.
First of all, it appears the headlights will finally get a makeover, while the grille looks larger than ever. Also, the horizontal bar remains the same, and the side profile reveals new wheels design. As for the rear, changes are minimal, but it seems that the Silverado HD will come with a refreshed taillight design.
Spacious and Modern Interior
Inside, we expect the new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD to be no less attractive than the lighter Silverado trucks. The cabin is spacious, and this model can place up to five passengers. Every Silverado HD is available with a 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports Chevy’s Infotainment 3 software, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A larger touchscreen is available on upper trims, just like a seven-speaker Bose audio system, additional power points, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless charging is available, too. It is worth mentioning that the Chevrolet Silverado HD also hosts plenty of driver-assistance technology. It includes a forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warning.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD Engine Specs
Under the hood, GM will make some changes and fans can expect the same Duramax diesel with a power boost. The current model is featuring a very potent 6.6-liter engine that is unfortunately ranked behind its crosstown rivals such as Ford and Ram.
This engine so far produced 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque, which is still more than enough. The updated model could raise output to 500 hp and 1,000 lb-ft. If this happens, the new Chevrolet Silverado HD will match figures of the Ford and Ram HD models.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD Price, Release Date
The manufacturer claims the new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD will arrive sometime this year, likely at the end. Besides more attractive design, the forthcoming HD model could also receive a boost under its hood. Many believe that it will outperform Ford and Ram models thanks to a boosted engine.
Our spy sources don’t have any information about the price of the forthcoming truck. The current generation starts at $35,000 for basics equipment, while more upper trims can increase the cost way more.
