2023 Ram Dakota

The comeback of the new 2023 Ram Dakota truck might happen sometime next year. The forthcoming model will probably share many design cues with the popular Ram 1500 model from available information. In general, this model is one of the most anticipated mid-size trucks right now. In the same class are many popular trucks, and the main competitors are Ford Ranger and Nissan Frontier pickup trucks.

Jeep is also on the run with its Gladiator pickup truck, which is a newer generation. Interestingly, many suggesting that Dakota is will use the same Gladiator pickup truck’s chassis. Still, there is a plenty of missing information, and we don’t know while Dakota model be available at the beginning of next year or later in 2022.

2023 Ram Dakota Design

The new 2023 Ram Dakota will look similar to the Ram 1500 pickup truck. However, it will ride on the same platform, but it will be reportedly smaller. Nonetheless, we expect both trucks to share the same design language and similar sharper lines.

Unlike the Ram 1500, the Ram Dakota comes with unique exterior paints and new wheels. The front fascia will probably dominate with a larger trapezoidal grille and new LED headlights. Unfortunately, there is no information while Ram Dakota be offered as a Crew Cab or Quad Cab model.

Cabin Specs

The interior of the 2023 Ram Dakota will be no less attractive than the Ram 1500. So, we expect a very modern and spacious cabin, with plenty of comforts. However, at this point, there is no information while Ram Dakota comes with the same 12-inch touchscreen as the Ram 1500. Either way, we expect numerous enhancements and more standard features than we can imagine. Despite being smaller than the Ram 1500, the upcoming Dakota will offer much better comfort.

As standard, it will probably be equipped with Vinyl flooring, vinyl upholstery, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, three USB ports, and a locking tailgate. We also can expect some driver assistance features like a forward-collision warning.

2023 Ram Dakota Engine Rumors

The new 2023 (Dodge) Ram Dakota will not reportedly offer larger engines, such as 5.8-liter or 6.4-liter outputs. The new model will most likely use as standard a 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine from the available information. As an option, we expect a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine to produce 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. With this engine, the new Dakota should be able to tow around 12,000 pounds.

The next one could be a mild-hybrid powertrain. If that happens, we should expect Ram to combine a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with 48-volt eTorque technology. This hybrid system is capable of producing around 300 horsepower. We are impatient to hear more details about engine specs.
