2023 GMC Canyon Denali Spied Testing for the First Time

The new range-topping version 2023 GMC Canyon Denali has been confirmed for the next year. Based on the news, the forthcoming mid-size pickup truck will introduce many novelties. A test mule of the Canyon Denali has been spotted on the roads, and it wears a complete camouflage. It looks more attractive than the basic model, featuring a very stylish front-end, updated platform, new powertrain, and excellent comfort for all passengers.

The most exciting news is a powertrain that will consist of a 2.7-liter turbo-four with an output of 310 horsepower and impressive 348 pound-feet of torque. We expect that the GMC Canyon Denali to arrive sometime in the second half of the year.

2023 GMC Canyon Denali Exterior

The redesigned 2023 GMC Canyon Denali has been recently spied testing wrapped in camo. As far as we can see, the forthcoming truck will bring many novelties. Just like the base model, the Canyon Denali will come with a new design language, riding on an updated version of the GMT-31XX platform.

Of course, it dominates at the front with an attractive chrome grille, headlights, and new hood. The rest of the body parts should also use a lot of chrome details and the new set of wheels. That means it will look more rugged than before.

Cabin Specs

The layout of the 2023 GMC Canyon Denali won’t change compared to the basic version. In general, you will still get plenty of room inside to accommodate five passengers. The spy photo of the Denali interior is available, and we saw a bit of the new interior.

The whole dashboard is covered, and it’s hard to predict what is changed under it. We presume that the updated cabin will come with more quality materials and probably a much larger infotainment system than we saw on the base one. Naturally, you can also count on exclusive Denali features such as the “Denali” badge on the steering wheel.

2023 GMC Canyon Denali Powertrain Changes

As you probably know, the current model is available with two engines, either a 3.6-liter V6 or a 2.8-liter turbodiesel. However, for 2023, the manufacturer will add GM’s relatively fresh 2.7-liter turbo-four that makes output of 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque.

The engine comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which will send power to either the rear or all four wheels.

2023 GMC Canyon Denali Price, Release Date

At this moment, GMC didn’t reveal the exact price and release date of the new Canyon Denali. Anyway, many assume the new truck will arrive sometime in the second half of the year.

When it comes to the price, we don’t believe that the new model could be significantly more expensive than the current model that costs around 43.000 dollars. In the mid-size truck segment there are many popular pickups, and we will separate models such as the Toyota Tacoma, Honda Ridgeline etc.
