2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

The new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD is expected to receive minor changes and updates for the following year. As you may know, this heavy-duty truck is one of the best haulers on the market. For 2023, the manufacturer will make it even more handsome, thanks to new front and rear end designs. Of course, we expect a new interior as well, along with potential powertrain updates.

As far as we know, the new truck will get a revamped Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 that will now deliver 505 hp and 1,085 lb.-ft of torque. Compared to the outgoing model, those numbers are 60 hp and 175 lb.-ft boosted. However, due to complications brought on by COVID-19 and a shortage of superconductor chips, this truck will probably go on sale next year.

Thanks to a new batch of spy shots, we have our first look at the updated 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. First of all, it looks more robust than ever, featuring a new grille that’s nicely visible behind the camouflage. Also, we noticed a Chevy bow tie on the upper-third of the grille, as well as horizontal bars up on.

Unlike the previous model, the prototype wears more expressively detailed design treatment. The back of this truck will also be more attractive, thanks to a new LED taillight as well as a new exhaust system.

What’s New Inside?

The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD will definitively look better inside than before. Unfortunately, prototype has a camouflaged interior, but we are almost certainly that it is hiding a drastically improved dashboard, probably the same as we saw on the 2022 Silverado 1500.

So, we can surely expect the same dual-zone climate control, leather interior, 8-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, heated seats and steering wheel. On the upper trims, buyers will get a large 13.4-in touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-in digital gauge cluster, heated/ventilated front seats, spray-on bedliner, navigation, and Bose premium audio.

Under the hood, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD will receive some upgrades as well. From available information, the current Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 will produce 505 hp and 1,085 lb.-ft of torque. Thanks to those gigantic numbers, the Chevrolet Silverado HD is ahead of Ford’s 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel, which makes 475 hp and 1,050 lb.-ft.

Also, Ram’s Cummins inline-6 produces 420 hp and 1,075 lb.-ft, which is still below the Chevrolet Silverado HD model. In general, the numbers from all of those trucks are frankly insane. The report says Chevy will also add the company’s new ten-speed transmission.

Release Date, Price

We’re expecting the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD to get some small exterior and the interior upgrades for the following year. The interior is hugely improved, and Chevy added more luxurious and premium materials.

However, due to COVID-19 and a shortage of superconductor chips, the forthcoming truck is likely to debut next year. Its price starts at $36,000 for the standard model, and it can go up to $65,000 with options.
