The all-new 2021 Ram 2500 will get further upgrades in order to stay competitive. The race between Ram, Ford, and Chevrolet continues but the heavy-duty segment is getting stronger and stronger. Other manufacturers outside the U.S. are also offering reliable trucks. However, Ram 2500 is still on the top and it manages best sales. This truck will go on sale later this year and it will gain various upgrades.
The spy shots are available and a new truck will look closer to the light-duty Ram 1500 pickup. Ram also plans to introduce more tech, just like the Ford F-250. In terms of performance, things should largely remain. As for the price, we should expect a small jump but nothing significant.
2021 RAM 2500 Design Updates
The upcoming 2021 Ram 2500 will continue to deliver aggressive styling with an imposing stance. Thanks to the latest upgrades, Ram 2500 will look more like Ram 1500. Cabin Will Gain a Technology Boost
Interior details are not available yet. Moreover, spy shots failed to deliver a closer look at the new cabin. The 2021 Ram 2500 will surely gain a technology boost. That includes a longer list of standard equipment and some new high-tech amenities. First of all, this truck will arrive with a new infotainment system. However, most of these aids are optional on the base trim level. In terms of design, we don’t expect any major upgrade. The seating layout will remain, along with the design of the dashboard. Some reports are writing about the new layout in the King Cab configuration, but this is just a rumor at the moment.
2021 RAM 2500 Engine Specs and Towing Capacity
The engine lineup won’t be changed at all. That means the next 2021 Ram 2500 will offer a standard 5.7-liter V8 once again. This unit is producing 385 hp and up to 400 lb-ft of torque. Optional, 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 410 horsepower is available. Furthermore, the optional engine delivers 430 lb-ft of twisting power. Still, the real deal is the diesel powertrain.
A 6.7-liter Cummins is known for its reliability and high torque rating. 370 horses and 930 lb-ft of torque will surely please every customer, especially those who are looking for heavy-duty work. The diesel engine could also gain slightly more torque and its towing capacity will be rated at 20,000 pounds. Both six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are available.
